A little bit of history Sanafe Lodge opened in May 11, 1978, managed by Ms. Susan M. Paredes, the eldest daughter of then Governor Zosimo J. Paredes and Anacleta Mendoza-Paredes. The name SANAFE was formed in the early 40s and taken from the names of SUSAN, Anacleta and FE (the 2nd daughter), thus SAN-A-FE. Being in the business for more than 25 years, Sanafe Lodge has become known for it's cozy interiors, it's breezy veranda where a view of the famous Rice Terraces can be seen, and it's the only place in Banaue to serve a variety of delicious Italian, Korean, Chinese, American and Filipino home style-dishes. What started as an inn with 7 rooms in 1978, it has expanded to the present lodge of 13 rooms that includes 3 single, 4 double, 3 family rooms and 3 dorms that can accommodate up to 50-60 pax
Come over and indulge your whims, for active or passive pursuits a trek in the paddies, a hike in the mountains, a swim in a natural pool, to shop for Ifugao wood carvings and antiques or simply just to relax and unwind. Have a drink, play a game of chess, catch up on some reading while you enjoy the scenery and cool weather. |
